This guide will assist you in verifying your individual customers by submitting their government-issued documents such as a Drivers Licence, Passport or Medicare card.
Collecting government-issued documents of an individual is an additional measure when collecting the required data to perform the KYC procedure for individual verifications.
As per the procedure outlined in Verify an Individual Guide
The bronID portal uses the ‘electronic-based safe harbour procedure’ where the ML/TF risk is medium or lower, to verify, at a minimum, the following KYC information about the customer:
- the customer’s full name; and
- the customer’s date of birth; or
- the customer’s residential address.
If additional identifiable information is required to determine, with reasonable satisfaction, that the target individual is who they claim to be, bronID has the capacity to collect and verify documentation in the form of a Drivers Licence, Passport or Medicare card.
